Optimised Medical Supplies Ltd processes personal data in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. This page sets out our Legitimate Interest Assessment (LIA) for business-to-business marketing. For how we handle personal data generally, see our Privacy Policy.
The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) describes three elements to relying on legitimate interests: identify a legitimate interest, show the processing is necessary to achieve it, and balance it against the individual’s interests, rights and freedoms.
We supply medical equipment, PPE and consumables to healthcare organisations. Keeping existing and prospective business customers informed about relevant products, stock, pricing and supply-chain updates supports continuity of supply to the healthcare sector — a commercial interest that also carries a wider benefit.
Occasional, relevant updates by email, phone or post are a proportionate way to keep trade customers informed. We limit the data used to business contact details, and we do not use more data than is necessary for this purpose.
We only contact business customers about goods and services relevant to their work, which they would reasonably expect from a supplier in this sector. Every message includes a clear way to opt out, and we honour opt-outs promptly. Where the law requires consent (for example, certain electronic marketing to individuals), we obtain it instead of relying on legitimate interests.
You can opt out of marketing at any time — use the unsubscribe link in any email, update your account preferences, or email info@optimisedmedicalsupplies.com. You also have the right to complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
