Absorbent Pads are intended for specimen sample transport where safe containment of liquids is required during transit. They are designed for use with infectious substances under UN3373 regulations and act as an absorbent safety layer inside secondary leakproof packaging.
Each pad measures 65 x 110mm and is capable of absorbing up to 50ml of liquid. In the event of a primary receptacle failure, the absorbent layer is designed to soak up hazardous liquids and help prevent leakage.
These pads can also be used alongside 95kPa specimen bags as part of a complete shipping solution. They are suited to workflows where compliant transport of specimen samples is required.
